Search White County Jail Inmate Records

White County inmate records begin with the county jail roster for people booked into local custody after an arrest, warrant, hold, or short-term sentence. A White County jail roster search can help identify whether someone is currently listed, which agency made the arrest, and what public booking details are available. Local jail records are only one custody layer, so a complete lookup also separates county detention from state prison, federal custody, immigration detention, court records, and victim-notification systems.

White County Jail Roster Overview

The official local starting point is the White County Sheriff's Office inmate information page. That page links to the public "Web version" of the roster at Corrections Records Search for White County Sheriff. The roster is a Tyler-hosted system, but it is the county-supported route because the sheriff's office links directly to it. The public roster title is "White County Sheriff," and the vendor alias observed for the system is whitecountyar.

The roster is labeled for all current inmates and is meant for public custody lookup, not for every record held by the sheriff. WCSO describes the roster link as a way to see and search current, new, and released inmates, but the official sources reviewed did not publish the exact retention period for released records. It can show booking-style inmate IDs, SO numbers, names, booking and arrest dates, arresting agencies, charges, bond details, physical descriptors, release flags, and booking photos where public visibility allows. Date of birth and address are hidden in the public configuration, and no housing unit, pod, tank, or cell field was observed in the public data.

White County's jail roster should be read as a county detention record. It does not replace the Arkansas court system, the Arkansas Department of Corrections, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, ICE's detainee locator, or Arkansas VINE. The WCSO divisions page says the White County Detention Center houses detainees for the county, municipalities, and other counties, which explains why municipal arrests from Searcy, Beebe, Bald Knob, Judsonia, Kensett, McRae, Pangburn, Rose Bud, and other agencies can appear in one county roster.

Official Roster Screen

The screenshot below comes from the White County Sheriff roster search interface, the public roster linked from WCSO's inmate information page.

The screen matters because it shows the search starts broadly by name or ID, then narrows through filters rather than by a separate city jail or facility list.

How to Use the White County Inmate Roster

For the question "how do I find someone in the White County jail," use the roster first, then move through the backup channels if the person is not listed or the record is unclear. The current roster is public, free to view, and linked from the sheriff's inmate information page. Search results can change as bookings, releases, bond changes, and data updates are processed.

  1. Open the WCSO inmate information page and choose the web roster link, or go directly to the White County Sheriff roster.
  2. Use the main box labeled "Search by name or ID number." Start with a last name, full name, SO number, or booking-style identifier if known.
  3. If too many results appear, open "Sort or Filter" and narrow by arresting agency, age range, arrest-date range, or sort order.
  4. Use the result card or "View Inmate Details" control to open the public profile. Review booking date, arresting agency, charges, bond type, bond amount, bond status, and the release flag.
  5. If the person is not listed, check whether the arrest may be too new, the person may have been released, or the person may be in state, federal, immigration, or court-only records rather than the current jail population.
  6. Call the White County Detention Center at 501-278-8050 when immediate custody status, release timing, bond posting, or visitation eligibility must be confirmed.

White County Roster Search Fields

The roster accepts a broad name-or-ID query and then uses filters to narrow the result set. The system's public data update endpoint reported a data update time of May 29, 2026 during research, and the public API returned 363 current roster records at inspection. Those figures are inspection snapshots, not a promise about the count now displayed.

What a White County Inmate Profile Shows

Roster profiles answer "what does a roster record show" by joining the person record, booking event, arrest event, charge list, bond information, and public photo setting. The public view is useful for family members, attorneys, bondsmen, and record searchers, but it is not the whole booking file and should not be treated as a final court disposition.

County Jail, Arkansas DOC, Federal, and ICE Records

The White County roster covers local jail custody first: pretrial detainees, recent bookings, warrant holds, short-term local custody, and people held for local or municipal agencies. The White County Detention Center is the custody hub for local agencies, but it is not the same as a state prison. No Arkansas Division of Correction prison was verified physically inside White County, even though White County appears in DOC locator fields as a conviction county and in status categories such as White Co.309/Work, White County Waiting List, and White Cty 309-In Jail.

Federal and immigration custody are separate. There is no BOP prison or verified ICE detention facility in White County. However, White County Detention Center has a U.S. Marshals Service intergovernmental agreement for federal-prisoner housing under facility code 6WF. That agreement context does not make the county roster a BOP locator. Sentenced federal prisoners should be searched through BOP; immigration detainees should be searched through ICE ODLS.

Booking Process in White County

White County official sources do not publish a full booking manual, so the public-facing process must be described from the roster, sheriff pages, and statewide detention context. A typical route is arrest by a sheriff's deputy, city police officer, state officer, corrections officer, or task-force officer; transport to White County Detention Center; intake and booking; creation of a booking record; possible mugshot capture; charge and bond entry; and roster publication when the public data becomes available.

The roster distinguishes arrest date from booking date, so those times may not be identical. It also ties charges to arresting agencies and bond settings. A charge on the roster is not the same thing as a final conviction. Arkansas Rule of Criminal Procedure 8.1 requires an arrested person who is not otherwise released to be taken before a judicial officer without unnecessary delay, and the prosecutor or court may later amend, dismiss, file, or resolve formal charges differently from the booking entry.

Property handling, medical screening, classification, pod assignment, and detailed phone-access steps were not described in official White County pages located for this build. The statewide Arkansas Criminal Detention Facility Standards provide general jail-conditions context, but they should not be treated as a White County intake handbook.

Visitation, Mail, Phone, and Vendor Routes

The WCSO detention-center information sheet gives practical communication routes but does not publish a full day-by-day visitation schedule, housing-unit calendar, dress code, visitor ID rule, child-visitor rule, attorney-visit rule, holiday schedule, or video-visit price table. Confirm current availability through the vendor or jail before traveling, especially after a recent booking, release, lockdown, court transport, or housing change.

Calling the Jail and Requesting Records

When the online roster does not answer the question, call the jail at 501-278-8050. That is the best supported contact for immediate custody questions, current release status, bond confirmation, and practical visitation or vendor issues. For broader public-records requests, the research did not locate a White County Sheriff-specific FOIA portal or custom request form. Use the sheriff's office contact channels and make the request specific enough for the custodian to identify the record.

Arkansas FOIA access can be limited by active-investigation exemptions, jail security concerns, sealed records, juvenile restrictions, medical or privacy records, and court rules. For court records after arrest, use Search ARCourts and the White County Circuit Clerk rather than assuming the roster has the complete case history. For victim or release notifications, use Arkansas VINE in addition to checking the roster.

Confirm before paying or traveling: Check current custody status with the jail or roster before sending money, scheduling a visit, or relying on a bond amount.
